A few weeks ago, I had the lovely opportunity to attend the Earth Opera retreat at Omega Institute during their Arts Week session.
💖 I was so lucky to be able to attend a workshop facilitated by my beautiful friends Elizabeth Clark, Lisa B. Kelley, and Jaguar Mary X. 💖
SO MUCH happened that it’s impossible to encapsulate the whole experience into a substack post, but some of the themes we explored were dream worlds, musical archetypes, and magical realm building. 🧚
We used deep listening, song, and embodied movement to create/access ethereal realms, and to finish off the workshop at the end of the week, we performed at Omega’s Arts Week Showcase. The show was made up of a few pieces from Elizabeth’s 🌿🌱 Earth Opera 🌱🌿, as well as a few pieces we created as a collective (over the course of just a few days!).
✨ So. much. beauty. ✨
The videos here are snippets from the group work we did playing around with musical archetypes. It boggles my mind that these pieces were improvised and pulled from the musical ether.
(Lots of magical faerie vibes and nature vibes circling around in the space, for sure). 🧚🌀
The specific musical archetypes we worked with were: “Women’s Song Circle,” (the main video above) “Mourning Songs,” (the video just below) and “Healing Songs” (the final video in this post). 🎶

There were many other archetypes we played with and many different realms that we built, with a variety of flavors. But (perhaps unsurprisingly, given my musical tastes) these videos here represent the flavors I resonated with the most deeply. 😉
Enjoy the musical vibes, beauties! 🧚 ✨
